when I was first getting into noise, I learned about the concept of field recording albums. at the time, it wasn’t something that particularly caught my interest as a listener. ten minuet long stretches of waterfalls and bird calls just weren’t going to hold my attention. later on, I found guilty connector’s field recording album “Henro Pilgrimage” and all of the sudden field recordings made a lot more sense. rather than present the listener with huge blocks of sound to deal with, get to the point and keep it moving. since then, I’ve begun recording as often as I can think to.
what I’d like to present to you tonight is the product of half a year’s worth of recordings. from illmont to athens, within are stories, textures, and indescribables. flakes of memories. shards of context.

thank you for listening, I hope you enjoy.
